When You Walked Back In

A short poem about rekindling with a former lover

Never so lonely had I been,
until you walked back in.

You reached out to my emotions,
feelings I had left buried.
I felt my heart race once again,
and my soul freed.

All the hurt was forgotten,
and pain just waned away.
Sweet memories were revisited,
and new ones were on their way.

When you walked back in,
life got better than it had been.
