The issue is that motherhood is overrated and fatherhood is underrated. That's the reason women feel the pressure to become mothers while men don't feel the pressure to become fathers. The pressure, in my opinion, should be on both the genders to become parents.

Raising a child doesn't limit you in your life, it is the non-existence of the right partner or existence of a bad partner that does that. Having a decent partner can not only enable one to raise one or more children but also pursue other things in life and live a more fulfilling life.

Hence the focus of an individual shouldn't be to avoid becoming a parent but to ensure one gets a stable and reliable partner, and also become such a partner oneself.
