Iranian laws are based on a certain faith, perhaps the worst aspects of that faith. No other faith or ideology today imposes such strict restrictions on women. Yet hardly anyone talks about this ideology and how badly it needs reforms for the whole of human race to survive. If in today's era of advanced technology and zenith of science if people are able to get away by justifying violence based on a book then certainly we haven't moved an inch ahead of the stone age when this ideology was conceived.
I hope women in Iran get more freedom to live a better life. And I hope rest of the world takes this as a lesson and stop this ideology from growing unchecked unless major and much needed reforms are made.
