I wonder about that a lot recently, since I don't have any friend I can share my concerns with.

…emic, more people are presenting for psychological treatment to a shrinking psychological workforce. What does it say about our society that people feel so lonely that they have to pay someone hundreds of dollars an hour to talk about their problems? Isn’t that part of what we used to have friends for?
