I really liked that towards the end you gave examples of two women who followed two different paths to women empowerment. One fought head-on against the man's world and the other quietly kept on doing her work. It is not the man or the woman but the money that wins in the end, I guess.
I understand the pain of household work in the house now after my wife got BP issues due to the mental load of household work. I try to help out wherever I can but cooking is still beyond me. We were fortunate that my father didn't put unnecessary stress on my mother regarding household work, except maybe when we had guests over for dinner or for a few days stay.
Overall, I'm glad you wrote this article. Beatrix Potter's example will linger in my mind for a long time. Hopefully it leads to something good. :)
