Ethan Hawke has done some very interesting sci-fi movies in his career. I enjoyed Daybreakers, and would like to recommend two better sci-fi movies of his: Gattaca and Predestination.

I also really liked Moon, surprisingly a good film, and not boring even though it could easily have been so given the plot. Sam Rockwell was too good in the movie.
